Seek First the Kingdom of God

Walking the cobblestone streets of Old Jerusalem and visiting the ancient biblical sites is a wonderful experience. It's inspiring to stand where Jesus miraculously fed the 5,000 and to view the ruins of Peter's house in Capernaum where the paralytic man was healed.

However, the signs and wonders of the Bible are still being experienced by ordinary people today, people just like me and you. Yes, it's true!

Jesus promises, "'He who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him'" (John 14:21). The Greek word ἐμφανίζω (emphanizō) translated as manifest means to declare plainly, to reveal and make known in the strongest sense. Jesus has promised to manifest Himself to us!

Seek the Kingdom of God and you will receive power and authority from Jesus to step out in faith and see amazing things happen in seemingly impossible situations.

Here's Something Truly Amazing

Scripture says, "Jesus of Nazareth went about all Galilee, teaching in the synagogues, preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people" (Matthew 4:23).

Jesus says, "'Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do HE WILL DO ALSO; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. And whatever you ask in My name, that I WILL DO, that the Father may be glorified in the Son'" (John 14:12-13, emphasis added).

Just imagine! Would you like to pray and see people set free from sickness, bondage, and dependencies? Would you like to have strong faith for the impossible?

Jesus says, "'Seek FIRST the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and ALL these things shall be added to you'" (Matthew 6:33, emphasis added).

I can still recall picking up our old family Bible when I was a young boy, and flipping randomly through its pages until it fell open to 1 Corinthians, chapter 12.

In total wonderment, I found myself reading about gifts of healing, the working of miracles, the discerning of evil spirits, prophecy, and people speaking in unknown tongues.

It was nothing like the children's Bible stories I knew. It was all so mysterious and captivating, and little did I realize that years later I would experience everything I was reading about.

Let's Seek the Kingdom of God Together

Scripture says, "Jesus came to Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, 'The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel'" (Mark 1:14-15).

Let's seek the Kingdom of God as Jesus proclaimed it in His earthly ministry through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Together, we'll explore God's Kingdom including the five ministry gifts Jesus gave to equip the church for the work of ministry, and the nine gifts the Holy Spirit gave to empower believers to do His works and fulfill the Great Commission.

Remember, Jesus is the DOOR to the KINGDOM. And when you believe in Him and become one of His followers, you have access to the KEYS of THE KINGDOM. Jesus says, "'Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in Heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in Heaven'" (Matthew 16:19).

This site is meant to inform, equip, and encourage anyone who desires the clear and practical truth of God's Kingdom.

Let's Share God's Message of the Kingdom

Jesus prophesies, "'This gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come'" (Matthew 24:14).

Paul reminds, "We are ambassadors for Christ" (2 Corinthians 5:20), and as His ambassadors, we are called to reveal God's love and the good news of His Kingdom to a broken world. We were never meant to sit in a pew and wait for Heaven!

Also, "For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds" (2 Corinthians 10:3-4).

That's why we've been equipped with special abilities, also known as gifts of the Holy Spirit. They enable us to carry out our mission to a hurting world by destroying the works of the devil and manifesting the gospel of the Kingdom.

Let's Begin

Jesus says, "'Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you. … When you pray, say: Our Father in Heaven, hallowed be Your Name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven'" (John 20:21; Luke 11:2-3).

Jesus taught us to pray that God's will be done on Earth just as it is in Heaven. If we want to see this to happen, then we must make sure our hearts are in line with the Father's will in Heaven and be obedient to what Jesus has called us to do on Earth.

We'll begin our Kingdom journey by discovering how Jesus empowers us through the Baptism With the Holy Spirit.

Next, the Introduction to the Nine Gifts of the Spirit series of articles will introduce the Holy Spirit's gifts, and additional articles will clearly explain the operation of each Gift. You'll find it all listed in the Menu.

The information given on this site will be supported by the Scriptures, and I'll also share my years of experiences and observations to give you practical examples and encouragement.
